Testing for Covid-19

Please let us know if you have taken a test for Covid-19 or if you are self-isolating

16th October 2020

The University is required to report cases of Covid-19 to external agencies as part of the national and local effort to limit the impact of the pandemic. We also want to be able to offer you support if you are affected by Covid-19, so please could you email covid.support@solent.ac.uk if any of the following apply:

  • you are experiencing symptoms and are planning to take a test/have taken a test
  • you have tested positive for Covid-19
  • you have been asked to self-isolate by NHS Track and Trace

We know this is a really challenging time, but please keep following all Government and university rules and guidelines to protect yourself and others.

It's also important that you don't book a test unless requested to do so by the NHS or if you develop symptoms.

The University will be sharing details of positive cases with the public health team at Southampton City Council. For more information about this data sharing, please see this privacy notice.

We will keep you updated with all the information you need - and in the meantime, thank you for your help and support in keeping Solent open and our community safe.
