Update on graduation for class of 2020 and 2021

An important update regarding graduation ceremonies for 2020 and 2021 graduates

29th March 2021

Following an email sent out last week to 2020 and 2021 graduates, we'd like to inform our staff and students that, after careful consideration, the University has taken the decision to postpone all graduation ceremonies which were due to be held in July 2021.

We understand this will be disappointing, especially for those who are experiencing a delay for the second time, but feel it is a necessary measure to ensure we can run the ceremonies in a way that is safe for all students, guests and staff.

While the current Government road map indicates the possibility of minimal restrictions in July, this is subject to change at any time, which could create a significant impact on our ability to deliver our ceremonies successfully.

We are working to arrange alternative dates as soon as possible, and would also like to reassure you that we have no plans to replace our ceremonies with virtual events.

We know that graduation is an important milestone and are committed to providing the ceremonies our students deserve.
