Dine with Davina

In the heart of our Southampton, the Dine with Davina charity event stands out not just for its lovely dishes but also for its commitment to making a difference. This year, the event aimed to raise funds for Action Medial Research that improves the lives of children by reducing premature births and improving treatment for sick babies, and it was a privilege to capture these moments through photography and videography.

The Event: Lunch Auctions & after party 

Dine with Davina transformed into a hub of joy, laughter, and purpose as guests gathered for an evening filled with gourmet food and spirit. The atmosphere was amazing, with beautifully set tables and heartfelt conversations taking place. The afternoon started with 100s lining up to get their photo taken with Davina then it was into the dining hall for some games then shortly after a beautiful roast dinner was served. After lunch was devoured it was time for the auction where event goers battled it out for some lovely prizes.

Our goal was to document these experiences, highlighting the work Davina McCall was doing for the charity.

Capturing the Experience

Photography played a vital role in showing the atmosphere of the evening. Solent students Eva Bell and Georgia Patterson aimed to capture candid moments guests mingling, laughter shared over dinner, and the excitement of the live auction. 

Videography: Telling a Story of Impact

While still images captured moments, videography allowed us to piece together a narrative that showed the dinners significance. We recorded interviews with volunteers and captured clips of the MC, Davina and event goers.

One powerful segment featured a real story of how Action medical research helped save a child's life. These heartfelt testimonies added depth to the event, creating an emotional connection that resonated with attendees.

I'd like to personally thank Davina for such a lovely time, she took the time to speak to me about my hopes and aspirations and reassured me that one day it would all be mine and to hear that from such an inspiring woman meant a lot, Thank you to Beth Harrison for arranging this amazing opportunity.
