Take part in a range of workshops and activities during 16 Days of Activism - a global initiative to end gender-based violence.
From Monday 25 November to Tuesday 10 December, an interactive programme of events is taking place on campus to mark 16 Days of Activism.
Led by Associate Professor, Dr Donna Peberdy, who is preparing to launch an educational resource following a 12-month research period into gender-based violence in short film, this series of events invites everyone to get involved.
Event: crafting resistance - a creative stand against gender-based violence
Date: Monday 25 November
Time: 12-1pm
Location: Research Hub, Michael Andrews Building
Add your mark to a collaborative art piece inspired by this year's 16 Days of Activism theme, facilitated by Lecturer in Art, Design and Fashion, India Lawton and supported by Solent's Women's Network.

Event: make a pom pom, make a pledge
Date(s): Wednesday 27 November and Wednesday 4 December
Time(s): 12-2pm
Location: Re:So in The Spark
To support 16 Days of Activism / Orange the World day, come join us at Re:So for a relaxing workshop where you can learn to make a pompom (orange of course!). You will be helping to create two pom pom pledge trees that will create awareness of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
This workshop will be facilitated by the Re:So student and graduate team. Why not book a place and spend your lunch break learning something new and supporting a good cause? All materials supplied.
There will also be a drop in workshop at the research Hub between 5-7pm on 25th November when the 16 Days of Activism are launched.

During this time, you are invited to explore current and recent research projects by our community, which relate to gender equality and ending violence against women and girls.
Short films by female filmmakers will be screened in the Research Hub, from the 16 Days 16 Films initiative.
