Solent University's 'Work, World and Future Ready' careers fair

The Solent Careers team at Solent University are hosting our annual Work, World and Future Ready Careers Fair!

This event will have employers from a variety of sectors looking to offer a range of opportunities to Solent students and graduates – it’s a great chance for you to explore and find work options and opportunities, network, and improve your employability.

The Spark is wheelchair accessible. If there are barriers to you attending the fair, please contact the Solent Careers team at careers@solent.ac.uk and we will look at ways we can support you.

Please note we have our quiet period during the fair from 10am to 10.30am, if you would appreciate a quieter environment to talk to employers.

Getting the most out of our careers fair!

• Have your CV written, proofed, and printed. The Solent Careers team will be available for CV checks.
• Be well-groomed.
• Rehearse a short introduction (elevator pitch) to use when you approach employers
• Research the companies that will be at the fair.
• Allow enough time for your visit.
• Approach your employer interactions as if they were an interview - make a good impression.
• If you are interested in a company, follow up with a personalised LinkedIn request or email.
