‘Take home grow your own!’
Come along to the Sowlent Food Garden on campus and sow your own salad seeds to take away and grow at home.
The Food Garden is our allotment on campus, situated next to the Solent Sports Complex on East Park Terrace. It's a space with raised beds for students and staff to grow fruit and vegetables, salad and herbs.
Join us in the Food Garden any time between 1pm and 3pm and sow some lettuce seeds, which you can take away and grow at home on a windowsill, creating a pick-your-own salad! Seeds, pots and compost will be provided. You can also see what we're growing in the Food Garden and even get involved with planting the veg beds.
This is an in-person session, booking is essential. Please follow the testing requirements in place to be eligible to be on campus. Further information including how to book a Covid-19 test can be found here.
