Register with a GP and get your jabs

First-year students - it’s vital that you register with a local GP.

For most of our students, your local GP is likely to be St Mary’s Surgery. Please contact them as soon as possible to register yourself.

It's also important that you check you are up-to-date with your vaccinations. With lots of people in confined environments and close mixing, universities can be hot spots for certain germs. 

Please speak to your GP about MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) and MenACWY - they will be able to tell you if you need these vaccinations.

If you or a friend become ill while at university, please contact your GP as soon as possible. It might not be serious but it's always best to check!
