Students’ Union elections are now open

11 February 2026

Elections are where you, Southampton Solent University students, decide who will represent you during your time in higher education, championing your voice within the university, Students' Union and the wider community.

Applications are now open for Sabbatical Officer and Volunteer Officer positions.

Sabbatical Officers: A full-time, paid position with an annual salary of £23,132. You will be getting paid to implement student ideas and improve the student experience here at Southampton Solent.

We have two positions:

  • Union President Student Voice
  • Union President Communities and Wellbeing

There are also 11 Volunteer Officer positions. These are perfect if you can’t commit to a full-time position but still want to be involved making changes.

You have until Monday 23 February at 10am to apply for any of our positions.
