Turing Funding: Your passport to adventure
Exciting news! Southampton Solent University has secured £178,359.16 in Turing funding for the 2024/2025 cycle, marking our fourth consecutive year of this opportunity and almost a 50% increase from last year!
The Turing Scheme, introduced by the UK government after Brexit to replace the Erasmus+ program, aims to boost student and staff mobility across the globe. Are you ready to make your mark internationally?
Here's what you can look forward to:
- Global Reach: Travel anywhere in the world!
- Flexible Activities: Opportunities to study, work, or volunteer abroad—it's all possible!
- Duration: Programs can last anywhere from 28 days to a full year!
- Post-Graduation Opportunities: Access funding for up to 12 months after your studies!
- Inclusivity: All students are eligible, including part-time and international students!
- Financial Support: Monthly funding ranges from £336 to £644, with additional help for those from disadvantaged backgrounds!
A Snapshot of Turing Fund Success!
During the 2023/2024 cycle, 25 adventurous Solent students set off for 12 different countries, receiving an average grant of over £2,000 each! Over 50% of our allocated budget was utilized, helping students create unforgettable experiences abroad.
