Solent is standing up to sexual violence and harassment

Reporting, training and support for students

18th October 2021

Solent is standing up to sexual violence and harassment because it is never okay.

Sexual violence or harassment is any act that is perpetrated without the consent of the other person.

Here at Solent, if you have been a victim of sexual assault, violence and/or harassment, you can speak with a Sexual Violence Liaison Officer to discuss your options for reporting and support.

On our sexual violence and harassment page you will find a Solent consent training package on SOL that will help you understand what consent is and when it can be given.

Solent has also worked with Yellow Door, the local support service for victims, to create a video about consent.

If you are a victim and want a safe way to talk to a member of staff who is trained to discuss your options, you can email our dedicated email address: safe.space@solent.ac.uk

You can also access support from the therapy and mental health team at Solent by completing a self-referral form or reaching out to the team at therapy.mh@solent.ac.uk

You can find more information about mental health support on the portal >

Staff members who require advice or support should contact their business partner.
