Welcome to Solent University

Welcome, new students! We hope you are excited about getting stuck into your first term at university.

If you haven’t already, please sign into Solent Online Learning (SOL) and join Get Ready for Solent, to find out how we can help make your first few months at university as successful as possible.

The admissions and enrolment team will be in the Spark, TS114, this week to help you enrol and issue you with your campus card. Feel free to ask them any questions!

We’ve been working with the Solent Students’ Union (SU) to plan a full calendar of events for you over the next few weeks and there’s something for everyone! Take a look at the below timetables for events run by the University:

All of our Welcome events are also open to returning students on levels 5 and 6 – feel free to come along!

Covid-19 precautions

To help keep our staff and students safe, all events have been risk assessed and will be run in accordance with government guidance.

Please be aware that testing twice-weekly for Covid-19 is still necessary if you’re visiting campus, and wearing face-coverings is strongly advised. You can find out more about our current Covid-19 guidance on the portal and about testing on our website.

If you’re not fully vaccinated yet, or if you have any questions about Covid-19 vaccinations or testing, come along to our pop-up vaccination centre between Friday 17 September – Friday 1 October, which is being run by St Mary’s GP Surgery. Find out more >

Please also make sure that you register with a GP as soon as possible.
