10 years of the Spark celebration

The Spark building was designed by architect Scott Brownrigg and opened in 2016, as the University's main entertaining and teaching space.

Ten years on, the building has become integral to our East Park Terrace campus, and the iconic Pod is still a key feature of the community! 

To mark the anniversary, we’re hosting a day of celebration in the Spark on Tuesday 10 November, which will include:

• An ex-POD-ition on the video wall and in the atrium, showcasing all of the entries to our art competition, as well as some fun facts about the building.

• Wellbeing activities, including adult colouring where you can decorate your own pod.

• A Pod treasure hunt on campus and around the city - the first five people to find and take a picture with all 10 Pods will win a £25 voucher! More info will be shared soon.

• Hot chocolate and some very special Pod-inspired sweet treats!

And don’t forget to join us on Instagram on the 10th, where we’ll be asking the age-old question – what do you think the Pod is?
