Travel. Collaborate. Solve real business challenges.
The School of Business, Law and Society is delighted to offer our International Weeks Programme, an exciting opportunity to spend up to a week at one of our partner universities across Europe, working on a real-world business challenge alongside students from across the continent.
You'll tackle live client briefs from organisations ranging from internationally recognised brands such as Mercedes-Benz and Lucas Bols to innovative local businesses, tourism companies and sustainable enterprises. Best of all, you don't need to be a business student to take part. If you're a Level 5-7 Solent student with an interest in problem-solving, creativity and working with others, you're welcome to apply.
Imagine spending a week in a new country while developing skills that employers actively look for. Whether you are interested in sustainability, marketing, digital innovation, tourism, sport, human resources, blockchain or the circular economy, there is a project to match your interests.
International weeks give you the chance to:
Projects have previously explored topics ranging from sustainable wines and artisan brands to luxury cruises, tourism ventures, major sporting events, emerging technologies and digital products. You could find yourself developing a marketing strategy, designing an app for sports fans, creating sustainability solutions or proposing innovative ideas for established brands.
Not everyone can commit to a semester abroad or a long work placement. International Weeks offer a practical alternative, allowing you to gain valuable international experience in just a few days while still benefiting from meaningful industry engagement and professional development.
English is the shared language for all workshops, networking activities and presentations, making it easy to collaborate with students from different countries. If other Solent students are attending the same programme, we'll help put you in touch before departure so you can plan together and start building connections early.
There are costs associated with participation, but financial support may be available for eligible students. Visit the 'How to apply' and 'Funding' sections for further information on application processes, available support and programme-specific details.
Before applying, we recommend reviewing each destination carefully to understand the project brief, dates, costs and application requirements.
International travel. Real business experience. Global connections. Employability-enhancing skills.
A week abroad could give you the experience, confidence and professional edge that sets you apart when applying for placements, graduate roles or postgraduate study.
Explore the opportunities available and find the international week that's right for you. Your next adventure could be just one application away.
