Artists, designers and creatives are being asked to create a graphic that will bring health research to life.
Southampton City Council's 'Health Determinants Research Collaboration' project has the objective of improving the health and wellbeing of Southampton residents.
The Council is hosting a community event where residents will be asked to feed back on what they think should be researched in order to to help reduce health inequalities in the region.
The competition
Entrants will need to create a visual representation, graphic, or image, of the pathway from problem to solution which is provided in the image below.
The winner will be invited to the community event where their poster will be displayed. It will also be used at subsequent events and in other printed and online material, where appropriate, to help promote the work towards better evidence for better decisions. If you have any further questions please contact Shelley Duncan (shelley.duncan@solent.ac.uk)
What do you need to create? An image in digital format that can be printed as an A0 poster.
What's the prize? Vouchers of £60, £40 and £20 for first, second and third place respectively.
How will you create the image? It's totally up to you and we're looking forward to seeing a range of methods and media used to produce the poster.
When's the deadline? You'll need to submit your entry to Shelley Duncan by midnight on Thursday 20 March 2025.
