Library opening hours changing

The updated hours are designed to continue supporting effective study in a safe and welcoming environment, while also helping the University make more efficient use of resources and reduce energy consumption as part of its wider environmental commitments.

The library will be open at the following times from Tuesday 1 September:

• Monday to Friday: 8am – 6pm (help desk open 10am - 4pm)

• Saturday and Sunday: 10am – 6pm (help desk open 10am-6pm)

Even when the library building is closed, students can still access a wide range of online books, journals, articles and other learning resources through the library catalogue, both on and off campus. Subject specific LibGuides are also available, offering recommended resources and guidance to support learning throughout the year.

There are also many alternative places to study across campus outside of these hours. The Spark building, with plenty of seating and tables in the atrium, and study spaces on the upper levels, will be open to students until 9pm on weekdays.
