Need safeguarding support? Report + Support is here for you

12 October 2026

Everyone has the right to feel safe, respected and supported at Southampton Solent University.

If you experience or witness harassment, sexual misconduct, abuse, bullying or other harmful behaviour, you can use Report + Support to tell us what has happened and find out about the support available to you.

You can use Report + Support to confidentially report something that has happened to you or someone else. You can choose to report anonymously or provide your contact details.

You don’t have to deal with something alone.

Our Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Policy explains our approach to preventing and responding to harassment and sexual misconduct and our responsibilities under the Office for Students (OfS) regulatory requirements.

The policy explains the support available to students, how concerns can be reported, and the options available to students who experience or witness harassment or sexual misconduct. It also outlines the University’s approach to creating a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all students.

Students can use Report + Support to report concerns and access information about the support available.

Online training

The Active Bystander programme empowers you to recognise and safely challenge unacceptable behaviours including bullying, harassment, discrimination and sexual misconduct on campus and beyond. The programme provides you with practical tools such as the five Ds to safely intervene if you witness or experience any unacceptable behaviour.

All students need to complete this mandatory online module. It can be completed in your own time and will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Complete the module on SOL >

Please ensure you complete this module by Friday 30 October 2026.
