Peer mentor/mentee programme

The Solent Achievement Mentoring Scheme (SAMS) is coordinated by the Student Achievement Team, in collaboration with course teams. The scheme provides Level 4 students with the opportunity to be mentored by a Level 5 student mentor who can offer guidance, encouragement, and support during their transition to university study.

What support is available?

Student mentors receive:

• Mentor training
• Access to a range of mentoring resources through the Solent Achievement Mentoring SOL page
• Use of the online mentoring platform, Vygo
• Ongoing support from the Student Achievement Team throughout their mentoring journey

Aims of the scheme
