Students' Union Sabbatical Officers for 25/26

24 July 2025

Meet your new student officers for this academic year

Our Sabbatical Officers for the 2025/26 academic year have officially been announced at Solent Students’ Union! They're eager to represent Solent students, campaign for positive change, and ultimately enhance the student experience at our University.

Each year, the Solent Students' Union (Solent SU) hold elections where students vote for their Sabbatical Officers. Each full-time role has a specific focus to help create the vibrant student experience Solent SU is passionate about.

You can learn more about our new Sabbatical team and their manifestos by visiting the Solent SU website.

Introducing your 2025/26 Sabbatical Officers:

  • Union President, Student Voice – Mohammad Galib

  • Union President, Communities and Wellbeing – Sanidhya Shetty

Students will have the chance to meet the new Sabbatical Officers during Welcome Week in September, where the SU will be hosting a variety of exciting events, including the always-popular Freshers Fair.

If you’d like to get in touch with either of the Sabbatical Officers, feel free to send them an email:

  • Mohammad Galib – mohammad.galib@solent.ac.uk
  • Sanidhya Shetty – sanidhya.shetty@solent.ac.uk

You can also follow their journey on Instagram @SolentSU_Officers.

Don’t forget to follow @SolentSU on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok for the latest news and events!
