Thinking about accommodation for next year

It's getting to that time of year when you start looking for a new house for the next academic year. We know there is a lot to consider, but please don't worry or feel pressured to sign a contract if you are unsure.

Here at Solent, we can support you on your housing journey and make your experience of renting that bit easier.

To help you find the right support, here's a quick overview of upcoming events that you might want to get involved in.

Housing Fair

When? Thursday 7 November, 10am to 4pm
Where? The Spark atrium

Run in conjunction with Solent Students' Union, accommodation providers accredited and approved by Solent are visiting campus to help you find the right place for next year.

As well as meeting with housing providers, you will have the opportunity to speak to The Energy Centre and gain tips on heating homes and reducing bills. Our Support Services team will also be on hand to provide funding advice and ore. 

This is a great opportunity to find out more about accommodation options for next year - and pick up a freebee or two!

SASSH

SASSH is a partnership between Southampton Solent University and the University of Southampton. This is a free resource for students in the city offering a list of properties which landlords have agreed will be managed to a certain standard. 

Every landlord listed on SASSH have agreed to set standards, giving you confidence when choosing a new home.

To access SASSH, please register using your university email address. Once registered, you can use the search function to begin looking for accommodation.
