End of year results release

Students, your end of year results will be released on the dates shown below:

L6, and L7 - Wednesday 17 June 2026

L3, L4 and L5 - Thursday 18 June 2026

You will receive an email summarising your results but please log onto Gateway for a full breakdown and further information.

Re-sits

If you need to re-sit an assignment, the submission date can be located on the relevant re-sit assessment brief. This will be located on the SOL module page and the submission link will appear in due course.

Most re-sit assessments will be due on Wednesday 1 July 2026.

If you need to re-sit an exam or an in-class test, these will be scheduled between Monday 29 June and Friday 3 July 2026.

The exam resit timetable will be released on the student portal towards the end of June. Emails advising this will also be sent to students via module pages on SOL.

Further support

If you have any questions about your results, please contact assessments@solent.ac.uk

If you feel that something needs correcting on your results, please submit an academic appeal. These are normally expected to be submitted within 10 working days of your results release date.

There are also other teams across the University that are here to help you understand your results and next steps:

  • The Student Hub are here to support you and can help you decide whether you need to submit a formal appeal, or help answer questions you have about Extenuating Circumstances for resit work.
  • The Students' Union advice service offers free, confidential, and impartial advice from the Union’s academic case worker. The academic case worker will also offer you support in any meetings with the University.
  • The student achievement team have put together a jargon buster to help you understand the formal wording used in your results - find it on their SOL page. The team are also here to support you through your results. If you have any resits to undertake you may receive an email or a call to provide tailored advice about your academic position. If you have any questions please contact student.achievement@solent.ac.uk. If you are a level 6 student with resits (refers and/or defers) and you are unsure what this means please also contact student.achievement@solent.ac.uk as they will provide advice to support you in achieving your highest possible qualification.
