Are you getting a new phone over the winter break?

So, if you plan to change your phone or phone number, make sure you have an alternative authentication method ready.

The easiest option is to add your phone number (or alternative number) as soon as possible. Then when you get your new device, you can authenticate temporarily via a phone call.

You will then need to set up Microsoft's authenticator app on the new phone (even if it looks like it has transferred).
