3 February 2025

The catering facilities on campus scored a food hygiene rating of 5 and achieved a very good rating, the highest rating available!

The Inspection took place at the end of January 2025, and was carried out randomly and without prior warning.

The areas inspected were The Dock, The Deli and Costa Coffee.

The Inspection assessed:

  • Compliance with food hygiene and safety procedures- (how hygienically food is handled, prepared, cooked, stored and the measures taken to prevent contamination).
  • Structural compliance- (the condition of the structure of the premises, including cleanliness, layout, lighting, ventilation, equipment and other facilities).
  • Confidence in management and control procedures- (how we manage and record what we do to make sure food is safe).

We thank the Sodexo team for their continued excellent service and standards on campus.
