Solent's Warsash Maritime School enrols its largest ever cohort

Over 100 cadets were enrolled making this the largest ever annual cohort of maritime officers.

The newest members of the Warsash and Solent communities enjoyed a two-day orientation with a packed schedule of activities including enrolment, a tour of East Park Terrace, and sessions covering essential topics from cadet conduct and professionalism to student support, mental health and wellbeing services.

The cadets also had a chance to hear from the School’s leadership team, course leaders, and representatives of the Warsash Association, Warsash Women’s Group and key charitable and organisational partners we work with to ensure a Warsash cadetship remains one of the most highly respected worldwide.

The new cadets will study alongside those who started their programmes last month, and returning Phase 3 and Phase 5 cadets. As everyone who has embarked on a cadetship before will know, the route to becoming a maritime officer can be challenging but it also has the potential to be hugely rewarding with career affirming experiences along the way.

Please join us in wishing all our cadets the very best of luck.
