Student support over the winter break

Please be aware that the majority of University services and buildings* will be closing for the winter break from 5pm on Friday 20 December 2024, until 7.30am on Thursday 2 January 2025. 

Student Hub

The Student Hub will be closed for in-person drop-ins on:

• Wednesday 18 December
• Thursday 19 December
• Friday 20 December
• Thursday 2 January
• Friday 3 January

When the Hub is closed, the team can still be reached by email: student.hub@solent.ac.uk and telephone: 023 8201 5200. 

Students can also book a phone or Teams appointment on the student support app.

Our Student Assistance Programme is available 24/7 365 for wellbeing support, including helpful webinars, podcasts and articles.

The Library

The Library will be open on various days throughout the winter break.

Residences

Residencies are accessible 24/7 to all students in residence throughout the winter closure period and students are asked to let the residencies team know whether they are staying over the festive period or going home. 

Our residence team will be available onsite between 9am-3pm on the 21, 23, 27 and 30 December to offer assistance. Security will be working 24/7 and you can call the ResHub on 07778 345113 if you need any support.
