BSc (Hons) Football Studies students are supported by Professional Football Scouts Association

Professional Football Scouts Association (PFSA) have generously provided free access of their online learning courses to students currently undertaking the BSc (Hons) Football Studies course at Solent University, Southampton.

Students will get the opportunity to undertake a variety of online courses including Talent Identification in Football, Performance Analysis in Football and Introduction into Football Scouting. This commitment from PFSA will allow current students to further develop their skillsets away from the curriculum and enhance their portfolios.

Kevin Braybrook, Football Studies Course Leader, comments “Solent University and the Football Studies course are committed to connect leading industry opportunities to support our student’s accessing knowledge, football understanding and qualifications. The PFSA are playing a key part in supporting a range of players, scouts, and coaches in achieving qualifications that meet industry requirements to work within football. Solent University are delighted to partner with the PFSA and this partnership will allow students to access a portfolio of courses to provide a knowledge transfer approach for the benefit of the students. The commitment and relationship will be of real benefit for both Solent University and the PFSA and we are delighted to provide our students with these unique opportunities.”

The PFSA are the leading providers of scouting and analysis courses to clubs in the UK and overseas. They specialise in educating both new and experienced football scouts and analysts, whether it’s your first time looking to scout for a non-league club to a full time professional at a CAT 1 academy.

Adam Hobson, Director of PFSA commented on the partnership "The PFSA is excited to be working with Solent University, Southampton, in providing students with an unparalleled opportunity in pursuing industry best practices through our extensive portfolio. Students will gain unprecedented access and insights into scouting and analysis that can further their chances for success within an elite environment.”
