There is an abundance of part-time job opportunities locally in Southampton. The majority of these are in retail, hospitality, catering, care, leisure and tourism. Look in the city centre, but also in areas such as Shirley, Portswood and Bitterne, which are all within a few miles of Solent University. Westquay and the Marlands shopping centres are good starting points for retail opportunities, and the bars and restaurants in Above Bar Street, Westquay Watermark, Bedford Place and Oxford Street frequently advertise vacancies. Casual work at St Mary's Stadium is also an option worth investigating.
