Cycling
The University is keen ensure students and staff can travel to campus as easily, safely and sustainably as possible. Visit the MyJourney website for cycling and walking routes and initiatives, bus, train or ferry timetables, and help planning your journey around Southampton and Hampshire.
Cycle facilities and D-locks
Cycle storage and changing facilities can be found on our campus map. There are over 300 cycle spaces across EPT campus and secure cycle storage is located on Level 0 of Solent Sports Complex. This is accessed via the Salto card reader system. Card access can be requested via the Estates and Facilities helpdesk in RMG12 or by emailing estates.admin@solent.ac.uk.
Although cycle storage areas are regularly patrolled, it is strongly recommended that bikes are locked using a high-quality D-lock (Sold Secure Silver or Gold rated).
Facilities within Solent Sports Complex
On Level 0, there is a two-tier bike rack, lockers (for wet clothes storage) and a bike maintenance area, with access via the underground car park at the rear of the building. The cycle store requires campus card access which can be requested via the Estates and Facilities helpdesk. Changing rooms are available within the building and are accessible to all current staff and students.
Changing and shower facilities within the old Solent Sports Hall (above The Dock)
Changing and locker facilities are also accessible to staff and students just outside sports hall 3, which is located above the Dock restaurant on floor one of the Andrews’ building.
