The East Park Terrace campus has the majority of Solent's food outlets and has a great range of restaurants, cafes and deli-bars that all offer a variety of food and drink options for students, staff and visitors to the University.

Costa Coffee 

As you walk into the main entrance of the Michael Andrews building, our Costa Coffee shop, on the left near reception.  Our Costa Coffee from espressos to mochas, iced cappuccinos to coolers our Costa is a little bit of the high street on campus. Whether you want a breakfast roll, a lunch time meal deal or an afternoon treat Costa has something for everyone.

Costa also has a small seating area for you to enjoy your purchase.

The Shop Solent - Newsagents 

As you walk along the concourse towards the Research Hub you'll find the C-Store. 

Our Shop provides everything that you’d expect from a convenience store and much more. From groceries, confectionery, sandwiches, hot snacks, pastries stamps and cards to stationery and Aspretto Coffee. They also have seasonal produce and lots of exciting offers. Cashback is also available

The Dock

A short walk from the Solent Shop along the corridor will take you to the University's main restaurant, The Dock. The restaurant is currently operating a click-and-collect, or dine in service and offers the wide range of food and drink.

Welcome to our largest catering outlet on campus. Here you’ll find an array of concepts all under one roof. From our Saver Menu, Bam Bam, Balanced, to Treats and Dough n Go, all prepared on site by our team of skilled team of chefs.

We are also pleased to introduce ‘Load Em Up’, 'Swanky Franks' and 'Yardbird', in addition to our expanded range of breakfast and our expanding Halal range.

The Dock also serves a selection of Aspretto Coffees and cold drinks.

This area is spacious so, as well as being able to enjoy your purchases in the restaurant, this area is also perfect for a quick meeting or a catch up with friends, with a game of pool or table tennis.

The Spark

East Park Deli

Located in the Spark, East Park Deli is home to well-known high street brand, Starbucks, serving a fantastic variety of hot and cold drinks, lunchtime snacks from a sausage roll to filled jacket potatoes, sandwiches, soup to confectionary, cakes and treats.

A new range of breakfast rolls and bakery items, along with prepared onsite ' Deli 2 Go': focaccia and sourdough baguettes, salads, and snack pots.

We're also launching a 'Deli Saver' menu at £3.25, which will include toasties, paninis, salads, and baguettes. Don’t forget you can order freshly made sub rolls or salads, personalised to your preferences, on our Everyday app.

There is also a small seating area for you to enjoy your purchase.

Search for the 'Everyday' app in the App Store and Google Play Store.

Sign up using your email - you will not be able to access the online catering unless you use your email or benefit from the first hot drink free when we launch.

After securely adding your card to the app once within the 'Active Payment Methods' tab of the side menu, it is saved making subsequent purchases effortless.

You can either tap on 'Scan & Go' and pay for your items by scanning the QR code on the price label of the item you want to purchase, or you can pre-order your items to be ready for collection at a later time.

When you've added all the menu items to the cart, choose your collection time. There are two methods of ordering: 'ASAP' (your order will be ready at the earliest time it can be prepared, e.g. 5 minutes) or you can choose a time slot to come and collect your order, (e.g. after a meeting in an hour's time).

When your order is ready, collect from the 'Express Lane Pickup Point'. Your order will have a sticker on it containing your order number.

If you ordered an item eligible for a loyalty point, it will be saved automatically onto the loyalty card.

Receipts are automatically saved on the app.

The Soil Association Food for Life Catering Mark provides an independent endorsement that food providers are taking steps to improve the food they serve, using fresh ingredients which are free from trans fats and harmful additives and better for animal welfare.

In achieving the Gold award at the city campus and Silver at the Warsash campus, our catering partner, Sodexo Education has demonstrated their commitment to sustainability. This accreditation from the Soil Association shows that Sodexo is continually taking steps to improve the food they serve by the use of fresh ingredients, free from undesirable additives and GM, organically and locally sourced where possible and a real awareness of animal welfare issues. The University's caterers are subject to annual inspections and site visits from Food for Life auditors to ensure that the food served meets high standards of provenance and traceability, providing reassurance to customers that meals are freshly prepared using environmentally-sustainable and seasonal ingredients.

The University has achieved the Good Egg award which recognises commitment and actions to improve the lives of laying hens.

All eggs used are Lion Marked, as a minimum, and laid by free-range hens.

The University is an MSC accredited site and is therefore committed to sourcing only certified sustainable fish and seafood for our menus.

Working closely with their suppliers, independent experts and accreditation bodies Sodexo ensure that fish provided on campus is responsibly sourced.

The University is certified by The Red Tractor scheme which is at the centre of the UK approach to sustainable agriculture.

This means that all uncooked meat, poultry and dairy products sourced are 100% British Red Tractor Assured as a minimum standard and, where applicable, are produced to RSPCA welfare standards as part of the Freedom Food Farm Assurance scheme.

The University is Rainforest Alliance certified which means we source ingredients from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms or forests.
