International opportunities

Turing Funding is available for all Solent students to work, study or volunteer abroad during or after their degree.

At Southampton Solent University, we want to give students the opportunity to have an international experience – these come in the form of course-specific exchange opportunities, summer schools, course trips, volunteering and international work placements.

There are many opportunities available to you!

Solent University received Turing Scheme funding to financially support students who want to take up this opportunity. It might not cost as much as you think!

Turing Scheme funding

This is a contribution of between £84 and £161 a week towards your time abroad. It depends on your personal circumstances, how long you are going and where you are going.

It is available for all full-time students, including international students with additional funding (such as travel and costs) for under-resourced students.

To be eligible for Turing Scheme funding you must spend a minimum of two weeks studying, working or volunteering abroad.

Funding is also available to Graduates up to 12 months after graduation for working or volunteering abroad.
